Last month Kalm Kitchen & Millbridge Court Partners Jay Archer & VLA Photography combined forces to create a jaw-droppingly luxurious & innovative array of Grazing Stations & Patisserie Bars. From static canapes, to mini desserts displayed on the branches of an olive tree, these gorgeous creations will bring the wow factor to any Wedding Day.
Jay Archer’s exquisite floral arrangements complimented each individual look so perfectly & we were lucky enough to have Jon from VLA Photography capturing every little gorgeous details. We are so privileged to work alongside such a creative catering team & were so excited to have the opportunity to host such a phenomenal photoshoot here at Millbridge Court. We can’t wait to see these beautiful displays at our gorgeous Weddings.

On Sunday we hosted our November Soiree, welcoming back our wonderful couples to see Millbridge Court brought to life & meet a handful of our Millbridge Court Partners.

Our Brides & Grooms were welcomed in to our cosy front lounges with refreshments that included a ‘Monarch’ cocktail (gin, elderflower gin, peach bitters & mint) & refreshing elderflower with autumn berries & mint. They were then invited to move through to our Barn’s where we had Leslie’s Cakes & Milk Street Kitchen displaying their gorgeous luxe, autumnal sponge cakes & macaroons.

Creating breathtaking tablescapes in our Dining Barn were Jay Archer Floral Design, Paula Rooney & Carrie Macey (The Topiary Tree). Each had a table, which they dressed in such wonderfully varied & inspiring ways showcasing their different styles perfectly.

We were so lucky to have Estilo String quartet serenading our guests throughout our Soiree underneath the most breathtaking floral archway created by Jay.

Judy Broad exibited her incredible calligraphy by displaying such inspiring escort cards, place card & favour ideas & even gave some of our couples mini tutorials. We also had the fabulous Bubblegum Balloons bringing such an element of fun & drama to our Ceremony Barn.

The wonderful Cakes by Krishanthi showcased the most exquisite array of luxurious, wintery Wedding cakes each varying in size & so flawlessly decorated & designed. The level of detail is simply phenomenal.

We had the fabulous Amore Make-up & Carolanne Armstrong doing mini hair & makeup trails to our lucky Brides throughout the day. Offering such an interactive experience is something that we felt was so important for our Soiree & created such a buzz in our lovely Bridal Changing Suite. We were also so lucky to have the immensely talented Darren Campbell wowing our couples with his mind-blowing tricks as he mixed & mingled with everyone throughout the day.

Thank you so much to our wonderful MC Partners who exhibited their work so beautifully & thank you to our fabulous couples for coming to see us all. An extra big thank you to VLA Photography who snapped, edited & sent us back his images of the day so speedily. Thank you, Jon. On Wednesday evening, we had the pleasure of hosting the most spectacular Tasting Evening here at Millbridge Court for a handful of our wonderful couples.

On arrival, our couples were treated to an array of gorgeous canapés in our cosy front lounges where glasses of Prosecco & Sloe 75 cocktails were circulated. We were then so excited to welcome everyone in to our Dining Barn where we had banqueting tables positioned down the middle of the room, decorated with the most exquisite Autumnal blooms by the incredible Carrie Macey & made extra special with beautifully crafted place cards handmade by Judy Broad Calligraphy.

The wonderfully talented Harpist, Tori Handsley, serenaded our guests as each Bride & Groom tasted an array of beautifully presented plated starters, main courses followed by one of our dessert options. Everyone was then invited through to try mini desserts from our Patisserie Boutique, which was elegantly put together by the Team using Carrie Macey’s breathtaking floral arrangements.

We just love Autumn here at Millbridge Court. Our lounges seem to get even cosier, the log burner’s are always going, the lights twinkle in our glass walls & our candles are always lit. It’s just magical.

As we have begun our first autumn of Wedding’s here at Millbridge Court we are really enjoying seeing the wonderful ways in which the barns are being styled. There is a lot more emphasis on candle light & the colour palette’s have evolved from blush’s & purples, to peaches & greens. Even the menu choices are becoming wonderfully warming & hearty & we adore seeing the canapé trays covered in moss & succulents.

Wedding days where we had the complete & utter privilege of having the incredibly talented Kate Avery Flowers with us for the first time since our Millbridge Court Preview just over a year ago. We are incredibly proud to have Kate as a Millbridge Court Partner & couldn’t have been more amazed at how incredibly she decorated every single space & room in Millbridge Court. Nothing was left unthought of, no bottle (or test tube) was left empty; even our reception desk had an absolutely exquisite arrangement placed upon it. But enough of me telling you about the sheer gorgeousness, you simply must take a look at the enchanting arrangements below & hopefully it’ll leave you Autumn lovers feeling thoroughly inspired. Xx

Just look at those gorgeous buttercups… You can’t beat the Frensham, Surrey countryside.

This weekend we hosted our very first Wedding here at Millbridge Court & what a pleasure & a privilege it was to share in such wonderful memories! To see Millbridge Court come to life with so many happy, smiley guests was incredible for the whole team & from start to finish we had such a wonderful time.

The Bride & Groom chose some absolutely fabulous suppliers to fulfill the vision they had for their big day & we were so thrilled to welcome three of our Partners to Millbridge Court on Saturday. We couldn’t have been more thrilled to have Paula Rooney Flowers share in this special occasion with us & knew that with such an immensely talented & not to mention absolutely
lovely lady on board, Millbridge Court would look utterly breathtaking.

We also had Jen Weller from Spongeworks creating a gorgeous naked cake which made for a beautiful focal point in our central hallway, decorated beautifully with summer berries & Vowed & Amazed arrived bright & early with beautiful ‘M & J’ light up letters which lit up the dance floor all evening & the prettiest bouncy castle which created endless hours of entertainment throughout the day.

We really are all on cloud nine after such a fabulous weekend & are so excited for the future here at Millbridge Court. We are overwhelmed that so many wonderful couples have put their faith in us ahead of us doing our first Wedding & we really can’t thank all of those amazing people enough.

Here at Millbridge Court we had the pleasure of hosting a fabulous photoshoot with a wonderfully talented bunch of ladies earlier on this year. A breathtaking mix of Bridal fashion, beautiful models, exquisite floristry, and utterly divine food.

 

Having attended the Millbridge Court Preview, the fabulous Lily-Marie Weddings started putting together her vision for a soft, romantic shoot to inspire Brides who are looking for a chic European feel to their big day and with the help of the incredible lady that is Hannah Berry Flowers their vision came together perfectly. It was so fabulous to have so many suppliers who are local to Frensham and the Surrey area contributing to the day

 

I will let the gorgeous images speak for themselves, but first and foremost you must take a peak at what our astonishingly talented and consistently creative in-house caterers, Kalm Kitchen, put together to complement the chic Mediterranean theme of Lily- Marie’s styled shoot. Half Patisserie Boutique and half Fromagerie it really was something to behold and yes, it did taste as good as it looked (I could hardly let it go to waste could I?) This fabulous creation is available to all of our couples and is so perfect on a Summers evening. Otherwise known as a grazing station, this show stopper of a dessert option can be set up on our patio for guests to help themselves to over the course of a few hours. The perfect informal end to a stunning Wedding Breakfast.

It’s no secret that Surrey is utterly gorgeous, and yes, it may be a rather grey bank holiday weekend but thankfully while the illusive British sunshine was still on our side I took a wander around the local area with my camera to share with you the stunning scenery that we are so lucky to have in such close proximity to us here at Millbridge Court.

The River Wye, which is the fifth-longest River in the UK, flows just past Millbridge Court and at a short walk away, it is visible from our grounds and accessible by a footpath just beyond our gates. Utterly perfect for a gorgeous post Ceremony shot of our Millbridge Court couples.

A brief 2 minute drive up the road will bring you to Frensham Ponds… a breathtaking area of natural beauty which I fell in love with all over again upon taking these photos. Calling all Millbridge Court Brides… If you’re yet to have your engagement photoshoot, I could not recommend this area highly enough. It really is the most perfect backdrop for any nearly-wed or newly-wed couples and the photos below are just a glimpse of the variety of different backdrops available and just how utterly stunning Frensham Ponds really is.

I hope these images have given you a taste of just how gorgeous the beautiful village of Frensham is and on a warm spring or summers day, there is no better spot.

A few Sunday’s ago we opened our doors for the second time, ever, for our Wedding Inspiration Day & what a day it was! The aim of the day was to invite our wonderful couples back to Millbridge Court & give them the chance to meet a handful of our amazing Partners. But as is the Millbridge Court/ Kalm Kitchen way, this was no regular meet and greet & our partners were encouraged to showcase their work in ways that would reflect how it would look on a Wedding Day; the results of which were phenomenal. The Barn’s looked breathtaking with our round tables dressed & styled to perfection, Kalm Kitchen created the most incredible food station, we had calligraphy workshops, hair & make up trials, wine tasting… I could go on, but the incredible images below by VLA Photography will say more than my waffling ever could. So before you look through them I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of our Partners that showcased their talents & made our inspiration day the success that it was.

Looking to have a wonderful day out with friends and learn an incredible skill at the same time? Well, look no further; we may just be holding the perfect event for you.

 

We are so excited to be hosting Gemma Milly’s Surrey workshop here at Millbridge Court on Sunday 26^th April in our Boutique Surrey wedding venue. So many people have fallen in love with the undeniable delights of calligraphy, a skill that Gemma teaches in the most beautiful and indulgent way.

 

On the day, Gemma will be introducing the group to traditional copperplate calligraphy, working through the basics of letterforms and alphabets and looking in to ink, pens, nibs and papers. There will be time to practice all of the skills learnt while Gemma shares her knowledge with each attendee individually. But not only that, little touches of luxury are added throughout. Eating and drinking is heavily encouraged in class and with the wonderful Kalm Kitchen providing the nibbles throughout, no one will be going home hungry. There is also an instashoot area with props on hand so you can share what you’ve created and learnt on the day. Gemma will then be on hand via email to follow up after the workshop and answer any questions as well as being in touch with exclusive news and tips.

 

At the end of the 3 hours, guests will have created a beautiful piece of stationery that they can take home with them; they will also be given a beautiful goody bag stuffed full of loveliness. It will include some more surprises and all of the class materials (pen holder, nibs, ink, calligraphy workbook, tracing sheets and practice sheets) so that the skills practiced can be enhanced at home.

 

Millbridge Court Brides… if you’re a creative type, this might just be the perfect skill to learn so that you can add some handcrafted touches to your big day! Or perhaps it’s the perfect gift for a friend or relative so that they can hone a new skill and have an all round fabulous day out.
