In April, we hosted the most breathtaking Spring Wedding Day involving a plethora of truly wonderful MBC Partners.

From the very first day R+G visited Millbridge Court they had such a wonderful vision for their Wedding and it was such a pleasure to guide them through the planning process and hear about all of their exciting ideas. No detail was left unconsidered with the couple having their menus handwritten by calligraphy genius Judy broad Calligraphy and their guests were spoilt with an interactive menu by Kalm Kitchen and delicious cocktails available for everyone as they left the Wedding Breakfast… it’s all in the little touches.

The immensely talented Hannah Berry Flowers was the florist in charge of bringing their elegant vision to life, which she did oh so perfectly. The Barns were adorned with heavenly fresh, white, clean centrepieces and arrangements that made the Venue look so romantic.

The lady chosen to capture the love, the joy, the gorgeous details and so much more, was the fabulous Sarah Legge Photography. On R+G’s first visit to us they looked through a photo album from one of Sarah’s previous Weddings shot here at Millbridge Court and they knew right away that that was the lady for the job. Her images speak for themselves and she’s also a complete joy toward alongside on a Wedding Day.

We thought we’d share with you all some of the wonderful moments that Sarah captured from R+G’s day and we wish the happy couple every bit of love and happiness in their married lives together! Xx

 

 

Nestled in the furthest corner of the Millbridge Court grounds, we have created The Lodge; a tranquil & exclusive haven for our lucky couples to use as their Bridal Suite on the night of their Wedding Day.

Inside The Lodge, the bedroom area boasts a Super-King sized sleigh bed, a freestanding copper bath & log burner to make it extra cosy in those chillier months; & in the bathroom there are not one, but two showers & sinks complete with luxurious Bramley products. The newlyweds can also make the most of breathtaking views of the Frensham countryside on The Lodge Balcony, the perfect spot for tea & coffee the morning after the celebrations.

Last Sunday, on the sunniest & warmest Sunday of the year so far, we hosted our 3rd annual Spring Soiree & what a breathtaking Soiree it was thanks to the hard work, talent & creativity of our always outstanding MBC Partners.

We really do love running these events as they offer the opportunity to welcome so many of our couples & their lovely families back to Millbridge Court to meet a handful of our Partners, see Millbridge Court in action, try some sensational & inspiring food, as well as see breathtaking displays created by some of the industries most talented Wedding Professionals.

This cold, crisp, festive time of year seemed like the perfect opportunity to share Mr & Mrs Shandall-Woods’ breathtaking Wedding Day with you all. If you love foliage & want some winter Wedding Inspiration then this blog post is definitely the one for you!

S&R’s chosen florist was none other than Jay Archer Blooms who created the most spectacular foliage arrangements that stood tall in our Dining Barn and on alternate tables there were lower centrepieces which featured soft blooms of white & blush. The arrangements stood upon blocks of tree trunk and little tree trunk slices were used to create tea light holders which gave the tables a real woodland feel.

The Bride & Groom chose not just one, but three fabulous Kalm Kitchen interactive Menu options, starting with a Charcuterie Board, followed by Carve at the Table Beef (featuring comedy aprons!) and lastly, a rather beautiful looking sharing Mille-Fueille. Such a fun way to get your guests interacting and a sure way to fill the Barns with laughter, especially when the ‘Carvers’ unwrap their aprons!

Their chosen photographer was the wonderful Kate Gray who captured the Barns and Jay Archer’s incredible work so perfectly and with the soft Winter sunlight on their side, the photos of S&R in the Millbridge Court grounds are so spectacular. Kate really did capture every happy moment and all of the details, even the smallest, so wonderfully.

In April of last year, we had the privilege of hosting the Wedding Day of the wonderful Mrs & Mrs O’Brien. A Wedding day that was bursting with love from start to finish, something that is so evident when looking back at the photos from their day.

B&L enlisted the help of three utterly fantastic MBC Partners to create their dream day & with the Spring season having  just arrived, B&L made the most of the beautiful flowers that were in bloom with a soft colour palette of whites, greens & purples. In charge of creating their floral arrangements & stunning Bridal Bouquets were the lovely, Eden Blooms who transformed the Ceremony Room by creating gorgeous, fragrant pew ends & a handful of arrangements which were put on a rustic ladder stand & wooden crates. The Dining Barn featured soft green linens & glassware which complimented their Springtime look so brilliantly, & alongside the centrepieces, Eden Blooms made a feature of the shelves by draping long stem flowers from the pegs. Simple, yet so effective & making for a wonderful backdrop!

Their stunning, three tier naked cake was made by Milk Street Kitchen & was decorated with fresh berries, topped with blowsy white blooms. The cake took centre stage in the Dining Barn on our wooden island & was surrounded by spring time flowers.

Their photographer was the super talented Guy Collier, a photographer who you could tell really ‘clicked’ with B&L & who is always such a pleasure to work with. He ensured all of the spontaneous, loving moments were all captured so perfectly & you can get a real sense of the joy of the day from seeing his photographs.

So, all it leaves for us to say is thank you to Guy for sending us the gorgeous images featured below & thank you to Mrs & Mrs O’Brien for allowing us to a part of your spectacular Wedding Day. We wish you so much love & continued happiness in your married lives together.

On 16th September 2016, Millbridge Court hosted the most spectacular Wedding Day for Mr & Mrs Watson, a day filled with so many gorgeous personal details, breathtaking floral arrangements, so many smiles & so much love.

C+J had the most sensational vision & they chose two amazing MBC Partners to share in their day. The wonderful ladies at Jay Archer Floral Design created cascading wild flower arrangements with rich green foliage & gorgeous purple flowers which popped so beautifully. And capturing every special moment & all of the personalised details was the fabulous Guy Collier. Guy has photographed a number of Wedding Days with us now at Millbridge Court & it is always such a pleasure to work alongside him, he always makes everyone feel so relaxed & that really shows in his images.

Thank you to the lovely C+J for letting us share in your special day, it really was such a privilege. We wish you all of the love & so much happiness in your married lives together.

Here at Millbridge Court, its not all Wedding Days, Parties & Events, we also host workshops & classes ran by industry professionals & just before Christmas, we were lucky enough to host the wonderful & ever so talented Gemma Milly for one of her fabulous Calligraphy Workshops.

To give you a taster of how the workshops run, here are some words from Gemma herself followed by a selection of beautiful images by Cecelina Tornberg taken at the Christmas Workshop. You’ll also notice that our Private Dining Room is styled to perfection & that was all thanks to exquisite styling by Sundari, The Wedding Stylist.

“Back in December I held a modern calligraphy workshop at the beautiful Millbridge Court in Surrey. As Christmas was only a few weeks away the class had a cosy festive feel with lots of candles, hot chocolate with marshmallows on tap, and of course Mr Bublé himself on the stereo.

I had a wonderful bunch of ladies to teach – from brides-to-be to small business owners wanting to learn a new skill to enhance their business. I taught everyone the basics of copperplate and modern calligraphy and there was lots of time to perfect our alphabets, flourishes and even craft some Christmas messages and packaging. My lovely friends Sundari (The Wedding Stylist) and Cecelina Tornberg made sure the room was beautifully styled and photographed, and yummy food was provided by Kalm Kitchen.

Each student received a modern calligraphy kit worth £70 full of goodies included a rose gold foiled notebook, calligraphy pen nibs & ink, a workbook, guidelines and handmade gift tags to adorn their gifts.

I had such a lovely day and was really warmed by everyone’s friendliness and willingness to learn. This is what makes teaching great!”

Saturday 27th August 2016 was Mr & Mrs Stone’s Summer Wedding Day & knowing the sensational suppliers they had chosen to create their dream day & all of the gorgeous plans that they had in store, we just knew that the Venue would be dressed to perfection & that the day would flow seamlessly.

In charge of blooms was the incredible MBC Partner Jay Archer Floral Design who created the most breathtaking Arbor styling with billowing, romantic white draping. The floral colour palette of pinks, blushes, whites & greens was complimented so perfectly by the plethora of metallic vases & sequin table cloths which the Bride sourced from Glimmer & Threads.

Capturing every special moment & every considered & beautifully executed detail was the fabulous Jon from VLA Photography. Jon knows the Venue so well & it shows in his images, he really makes the most of the different backdrops & textures we have at Millbridge Court. “Hey Millbridge Court/ Kalm Kitchen,

The new Mrs Stone here! I just wanted to let you know that you made all of our dreams come true last Saturday (27th August). Finding a venue was initially a lot harder than we thought and we (I) was a lot fussier than I thought!…I always knew I wanted something different, but never thought I’d travel outside of Essex for it. Thank god for perseverance and Google because that’s when I first laid my eyes on you…what a match made in heaven you both are. Nothing is too much, everything is possible and you have the most amazing MBC Partners, it was often at times hard to choose. Everything you are able to provide is different, modern, quirky and innovative….you are truly amazing!

I was so excited for all of our guests to share the Millbridge/Kalm Kitchen experience, just like we had so many times over the last year! (Sorry I just had to keep coming to your soirée’s)

Our guests were blown away. Some said they had never been to an outdoor wedding, while others likened it to winning a golden ticket to one of the best weddings they had the pleasure of being invited to, while some had flower envy and most were in awe of the Venue!

Your teams are something else! Genuine, friendly, happy to help, outstanding. Sarah initially showed us around in the earlier stages, then we met with Lara, Abi, and Trudy then orchestrated the day, she was phenomenal and very personable.

After all this time of experiencing the phenomen that is Millbridge Court & Kalm kitchen it’s hard knowing that’s it for us but for future brides or prospective ones, the journey is just beginning!
