April Wedding Day #marriedatmillbridge
On Saturday 3oth April of last year, Millbridge Court had the privilege of hosting Mr & Mrs Smith’s beautiful, sunny Spring Wedding Day.
H&C’s chosen florist was the amazing Carrie Macey from The Topiary Tree who created such gorgeous statement arrangements for the Ceremony Barn which had pops of coral amongst the neutral green & white flowers & foliage. The Dining Barn looked elegant with gypsophila & blush roses in jam jars, some painted by hand by the Bride herself & succulents in rustic wooden log holders.
In charge of making the Bride & the Bridal Party look extra glamorous was MBC Partner Carolanne Armstrong & Mr & Mrs Smith’s photographer was the phenomenal Sophie Duckworth. Sophie captured every aspect of the day so beautifully, from the Ceremony (oh, that natural light), both the daytime & nighttime couples shots, the Bridal Preparations… not to mention that S’mores Station reaction (you’ll know the one when you see it) & much more, every image really is exquisite.
Before we show you a selection of breathtaking images by Sophie, here are some really lovely words from the Bride & Groom themselves.
“Hi Everybody at Millbridge and Kalm Kitchen,
We both wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone for all of the work you put in to our wedding. Everything went so well and the day was better than we ever dared to imagine. You all made us feel so comfortable, Millbridge itself looked incredible and the food and service was perfect. We do not exaggerate when we say all of the guests were commenting on how good the venue and the food were. The day being so special was in no small part thanks to your teams and we are both very grateful. Thanks also for the card you slipped in amongst the ones from our guests, it was very kind.
Thanks so much again. You gave us a day we will never forget!
Helen and Chris.”
September Wedding Day #marriedatmillbridge
On 16th September 2016, Millbridge Court hosted the most spectacular Wedding Day for Mr & Mrs Watson, a day filled with so many gorgeous personal details, breathtaking floral arrangements, so many smiles & so much love.
C+J had the most sensational vision & they chose two amazing MBC Partners to share in their day. The wonderful ladies at Jay Archer Floral Design created cascading wild flower arrangements with rich green foliage & gorgeous purple flowers which popped so beautifully. And capturing every special moment & all of the personalised details was the fabulous Guy Collier. Guy has photographed a number of Wedding Days with us now at Millbridge Court & it is always such a pleasure to work alongside him, he always makes everyone feel so relaxed & that really shows in his images.
Thank you to the lovely C+J for letting us share in your special day, it really was such a privilege. We wish you all of the love & so much happiness in your married lives together.
Xx
Gemma Milly Christmas Calligraphy Workshop
Here at Millbridge Court, its not all Wedding Days, Parties & Events, we also host workshops & classes ran by industry professionals & just before Christmas, we were lucky enough to host the wonderful & ever so talented Gemma Milly for one of her fabulous Calligraphy Workshops.
Excitingly, Gemma will be hosting another of her workshops on March 14th at MBC & as there are only a few spots left, she is offering a 10{e55ed86a693720a542649aa3ae121f437e0c2fa3618bf1ebc0420f7569680507} discount when people sign up using the code MARCH10.
To give you a taster of how the workshops run, here are some words from Gemma herself followed by a selection of beautiful images by Cecelina Tornberg taken at the Christmas Workshop. You’ll also notice that our Private Dining Room is styled to perfection & that was all thanks to exquisite styling by Sundari, The Wedding Stylist.
“Back in December I held a modern calligraphy workshop at the beautiful Millbridge Court in Surrey. As Christmas was only a few weeks away the class had a cosy festive feel with lots of candles, hot chocolate with marshmallows on tap, and of course Mr Bublé himself on the stereo.
I had a wonderful bunch of ladies to teach – from brides-to-be to small business owners wanting to learn a new skill to enhance their business. I taught everyone the basics of copperplate and modern calligraphy and there was lots of time to perfect our alphabets, flourishes and even craft some Christmas messages and packaging. My lovely friends Sundari (The Wedding Stylist) and Cecelina Tornberg made sure the room was beautifully styled and photographed, and yummy food was provided by Kalm Kitchen.
Each student received a modern calligraphy kit worth £70 full of goodies included a rose gold foiled notebook, calligraphy pen nibs & ink, a workbook, guidelines and handmade gift tags to adorn their gifts.
I had such a lovely day and was really warmed by everyone’s friendliness and willingness to learn. This is what makes teaching great!”
