Not too long ago we posted a blog about our Voters Comments from the Wedding Industry Awards and you may have seen that we wrote about a Bride who felt so strongly that she could not possibly say all of the wonderful things that she wanted to about us all here at Millbridge Court in just 500 words that she emailed them to ask if there was anyway they would let her submit something longer… now that very lovely Bride would be this lady, the new Mrs Thomas.

A&R got married here at Millbridge Court on one of that last September weekends of 2015 and what a gorgeous weekend it was. The sun shone from start to finish and they were able to get married underneath our Arbor. The talented Anna Fowler was their chosen photographer who captured the details of the day so beautifully and Blush Floral Design created wonderfully romantic and rustic flowers throughout the Barns and grounds.

Mr & Mrs Thomas wanted a wonderfully informal menu for their day with multiple sharing options that could keep their guests entertained and mingling throughout. They chose a sharing Mezze Board as their starter, followed by our fabulous Carve at the Table Lamb dish as their main course. They announced who each carver was after their starter had been cleared and provided each lucky guest with a comedy apron, which was warn with pride as they headed on in to the kitchen to pick up their tables joint of Lamb. For dessert, the guests were then treated to a spectacular Patisserie Boutique and fromagerie. A grazing station that tey could help themselves to for a few hours following the sit down part of the Wedding Breakfast.

Below is a snapshot of just how gorgeous their day was and a few words from the Bride herself about her Wedding Day here at Millbridge Court.

“Having only got engaged 2 weeks before coming to see Millbridge Court and then booking that day, to have our wedding just nine weeks later – It was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived we knew this was the definitely the place we wanted to get married. It was modern, beautiful, sophisticated and just utter gorgeousness.

I am a very attention to detail girl, I have to check everything and know just how I want it (some may say fussy ha) but after meeting you both and the email exchanges that we had I knew I didn’t have to worry about a thing. You ladies are creative perfectionists.

So to our guests – ‘Beautiful day’, ‘Amazing day’, ‘Fabulous’, ‘Superb’, ‘Truly amazing’, ‘Phenomenal celebration’ is just a few words of feedback. We have been inundated with messages and calls from our guests about the day – Amazing food (oh how they loved the food, so many comments on the food), the venue (Beautiful/Perfect), the service, how fun it was and just generally how it was the perfect day.

So……. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us create our perfect day in such a short space of time. I will be honest and say I didn’t find any of the planning stressful at all because of your amazing team you didn’t make me worry once – I had complete confidence that you would deliver from day one of stepping into Millbridge and meeting with Laura.

What is also lovely is that you made us feel like our wedding was the most important event when we were liaising with you, you didn’t make it feel like ‘another wedding’ the service you provide is truly personal.”

We love a Winter Wedding here at Millbridge Court & we particularly love winter Wedding Days that mean we get to work alongside phenomenal MBC suppliers such as Paula Rooney Flowers & VLA Photography.

 

In true VLA Photography style, the images of C&E’s gorgeous New Years Eve Wedding Day have been edited & sent back to us within a matter of weeks. The way in which Jon uses the architecture & intricate design of the buildings to frame such beautiful couples photographs is always such a pleasure for us to see.

This Summer, we were nominated to enter TWIA (The Wedding Industry Awards) and being in the midst of our first season, we entered the awards without any expectations of making it through to the shortlisted stages; the fact that we were even nominated was flattering enough.

We then asked all of our couples who got married with us between May and October to (if they felt that they would like to) write a testimonial on our TWIA profile page, and we then waited to see if we were shortlisted. Rather excitingly, we were absolutely delighted to find out that we became Regional Finalists for Best Countryside Venue in London & South East!

We didn’t make it through to the National Stages of the awards (unlike our wonderful catering partners, Kalm Kitchen, who only went & won Best Wedding Caterer this week!!!) but we did get to read all of our voters comments following the end of the Regional Stage of the competition and oh my word… to say it was an emotional read would be putting it lightly. Damian Bailey, the Founder of TWIA, did mention we would need to be armed with a packet of tissues when reading our voters comments and he really wasn’t joking.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much to our wonderful couples who so generously took the time to vote for us and leave such heartfelt comments about their Wedding Days with us here at Millbridge Court, it really did mean the world to us. The fact that we even had a Bride contact the awards organisers to explain that she could not possibly say all of the wonderful things that she wanted to say in 500 characters and so wanted to find out if there was anyway that she could send something longer is just so overwhelming. Thank you for making our first year truly unforgettable and we could not be happier that we were able to share in your utterly gorgeous Wedding Days.

“We had seen about 25 wedding venues in Surrey and could not find what were looking for, until we found Millbridge court. It is an absolutely stunning venue. The team are exceptional, helpful, passionate, professional, & they ensured that everything on the day went without a hitch. It is difficult to overstate how fantastic this venue is, from the beauty of the setting to the professionalism of the staff. We recommend it for this award without reservation.

The venue is breath-taking, the light was amazing even on a cold wet October day when we first saw it. Everything flows and has been designed with thought and purpose. The bridal changing room is absolutely brilliant and the rooms for the hotel are lovely. Matthew showed us around and, we trusted his vision of how things would look in the summer. We then met Laura and sent her 100 odd emails! She was fantastic in answering every query. Unlike all of the other venues we viewed there were no hidden costs and this was really important. Everything you see when you look around is all there on the day – this was too good to be true, but is! We wanted to know that the team in place would be able to execute our day as we wanted it, and that is exactly what we got.”

Laura is wonderful-so organised, calm & full of ideas. From day one the service was exceptional. They always made it feel like we were the only ones getting married & that our day was the most important day above all others. We wanted a less formal and more fun wedding and had our own ideas from day one of how we wanted it to be and they jumped aboard and took it that 10 steps further to make it even better!

They are creative perfectionists, I named Laura one of my little fairys because she just goes around with her magic wand sprinkling that magic fairy dust everywhere you go and making everything beautifully perfect! “We fell in love with MBC as soon as we saw it and then knew it was the venue for us partly due to the thought that has gone into the space & the layout of venue both inside & out, they have thought of everything! It gave us so many options (inside/outside ceremony, a separate room for the children, a large bridal salon on site (my hair & makeup ladies were and still are in awe!), bedrooms for guests, different dining options and spaces drinks reception areas inside and out. And it works! Our entire Wedding Day at MBC was beautifully seamless; at no point were we/ our guests aware of any interruptions or rearranging of spaces. The staff are wonderful, always there but never intrusive – helpful, friendly, professional throughout. I would recommend MBC to any Bride-to-Be in an instant, in fact I would insist that they just have to get married there!”

“I cannot fault a single detail about Millbridge Court and the team. They were absolutely exceptional from the day I first got in touch to the day of the wedding. Nothing was too much trouble and we had the absolutely perfect day. The venue team had so many ideas and pieces of advice which were invaluable but were also flexible in ensuring we were able to have the day just as we wanted. The entire venue is absolutely stunning and they have thought of absolutely everything! Just perfect.”

“Millbridge Court was the first venue that we found that had everything. Perfect location, setting and ambience with it catering for every single aspect of a wedding. Every detail has been considered and well thought out. The outside area is a complete showstopper. As the groom my favourite moment was walking to the arbour with my guests and just hearing each one being in awe of the setting. It was beautiful. This venue has it all and the choice was a no brainer for us. It blew every other venue away.

The outside, rustic countryside nature of the venue is magical. You feel like you’re in a different world. It’s incredibly intimate and welcoming without being over the top.

We had so much confidence in the team that they knew how to put on a wedding and we were not left disappointed. So many of our guests have recommended the venue to friends. So much of their hard work and effort was truly appreciated by us and our guests. I may be biased but I am confident that it will be a long time before I go to a better wedding venue than Millbridge Court.”

You ‘held our hand’ throughout the whole process and impressed beyond belief. Everything you talked about came to life in a magical way. You always responded to our queries promptly and appropriately. Thank you for creating memories beyond our wildest dreams, it would not have been the day it was without you all.”

Today, we’re sharing an abundance of Autumnal Wedding gorgeousness from an October Wedding Day here at Millbridge Court.

D&K decided upon Millbridge Court as their chosen Wedding Venue ahead of completion in 2014, so we were absolutely delighted that they had such faith in our vision and upon hearing who their chosen suppliers were, we just couldn’t wait to see all of their wonderful plans come together.

Their chosen florist was MBC Partner & all-round wonderful lady, Kate Avery. The brief was ‘enchanted woodland’ and that was exactly what was created. Kate brought with her a team of florists and what seemed like an entire flower market to Millbridge Court on the morning of D&K’s Wedding, carefully and beautifully making the arrangements on-site. It was incredible to watch and a real pleasure to see it all come together in such a short amount of time.

D&K’s photographer was the very talented Tony Hart. His enthusiasm to photograph a Wedding Day here at Millbridge Court was so wonderful to see & it was such a joy to have him with us for the day.
